First Children Services is currently seeking a part-time to full-time New Jersey licensed professional counselor (LPC), licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT), and/or licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) to join our STRIVE Autism Care Continuum team! The position will work out of our Maple Shade Office.
Our model is family-focused, collaborative, and comprehensive. We are looking for individuals who are innovative, energetic, team-oriented, and passionate about working with individuals with autism and their families. The ideal candidates have experience treating children, adolescents, young adults, and their families with a range of diagnoses. The candidate(s) should have a strong commitment to providing treatment from a behavioral or cognitive-behavioral approach. Evidence-based practice is a must. Good interpersonal skills are essential. Experience providing services to young children (3 years and up) highly desirable. Our client population consists of individuals with autism and their families; therefore, knowledge about autism, Asperger’s, co-occuring mental health challenges, and the needs of family members including siblings, is desirable. The clinician will work out of our Pottstown and Montgomeryville offices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct initial clinical interviews
Provide individual, family, and group therapy
Coordinate care and participate within interdisciplinary team
Collaborate with providers, parents/caregivers, and schools
Contribute to integrated treatment plans
All Licensed Clinicians at First Children can receive exposure to:
Autism and clinical diagnostic assessments
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
Clinical counseling of individuals with autism and their families
Behavioral Parent Training
Sibling treatment and workshops
Social Skills workshops and trainings
Additional treatments conducted at First Children Services
Qualifications:
Master’s Level or Doctoral Degree
Hold license in good standing from NJ Licensing Board
At least 3 years of experiencing providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and families
