Summary
The School-Based Therapist provides individual, family, and group counseling services primarily within partnering school districts, helping students improve their emotional well-being, behavioral health, and academic success. Working closely with school staff, families, and community partners, the therapist delivers evidence-based, trauma-informed care while maintaining all clinical documentation and confidentiality requirements. While the primary work location is in assigned schools, the therapist may periodically provide services at Goodwill Easterseals Miami Valleys Counseling & Wellness offices to ensure continuity of care and meet the needs of students and families. The function of this position is to provide quality clinical care to clients. Counselors assess clients on admission with respect to behavioral health needs and review, update, and execute that assessment on a continuing basis. Candidates for this role must hold an active LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW, or LISW-S license.
