Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN)

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician. The LPN is responsible for monitoring patient health, administering medications, assisting with treatments, documenting patient information, and promoting patient comfort and safety. The role requires excellent clinical skills, compassion, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

• Provide direct patient care according to the established care plan.
• Monitor, assess, and record patients' vital signs and overall condition.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments safely and accurately.
• Assist physicians and Registered Nurses during examinations and procedures.
• Collect patient specimens and perform basic diagnostic tests as required.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses in the medical record.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
• Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Observe and promptly report changes in patient condition to the healthcare team.
• Maintain infection prevention and safety standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
• Ensure accurate medication administration and maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
• Respond appropriately to medical emergencies following facility protocols.
