Position Title Licensed Practical Nurse Overview
St. John Fisher University is an independent, liberal arts institution that provides a transformative education to approximately 3,800 undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students each year. Job Responsibilities
The LPN is a collaborative member of the Health and Wellness Center team and supports the Health and Wellness Center's mission to provide compassionate, high-quality medical and mental health services alongside proactive wellness education. Beyond supporting our students, we actively serve as a trusted health resource for the entire campus.
Clinical Responsibilities: 60%
Office Support Responsibilities: 40%
Education / Experience
Required:
Graduate from an accredited School of Practical Nursing or Equivalent.
Two years of experience in a medical office or similar college health setting.
Current CPR Certification.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work with students and staff from culturally diverse backgrounds.
Competencies / Skills Physical Demands
Exposure to hazardous material normally found in clinical settings such as blood borne pathogens, bacteria, viruses, solvents and other toxic chemicals and substances used in providing medical care which require the use of protective gloves or clothing.

Work Environment
Professional office environment in a university setting.
Daytime hours; Monday- Friday.
Exposure to hazardous material normally found in clinical settings such as blood borne pathogens, bacteria, viruses, solvents and other toxic chemicals and substances used in providing medical care which require the use of protective gloves or clothing.
Equipment to be Used
Basic office equipment: fax, MS Office Suite, Banner, copier, and telephone. Medical equipment including: glucometer, ophthalmoscope, otoscope, nebulizer, thermometers, blood pressure machine, peak flow meter, O2, EMR. Must be familiar with working in an EHR.
