Licensed Practical Nurse, OP (LPN - Urology

This position offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., with no weekends or major holidays. • $5,000 | 2-year commitment | Recent graduates and LPNs with 0-1 years of experience
• $7,500 | 2-year commitment | LPNs with 1+ years of experience

Purpose:

Provides professional nursing care to office patients under supervision of patient care providers.

Responsibilities:

• Draw blood.
• Administer medications, including oral, SQ, IM, and IV drip therapies.
• Perform IV therapy under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
• Assess patients' general condition, including vital signs and weight.
• Promote wellness through patient education and by communicating physician instructions and recommendations.
• Document patient care activities, interventions, responses, and medications in the medical record.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of medical records and patient information.
• Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including those established by OSHA, CLIA, and the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
• Occasionally travel to the Lewisburg office.
• Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing.
• Willing to travel to Lewisburg occasionally for clinic hours (3-4 times/year.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

• Act 33 with renewal

• Act 34 with renewal

• Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS OR Basic Life Support (BLS OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR

• CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN or Temporary Practice Permit (TPP

• Current Pennsylvania nursing license, or a multistate license issued by an NLC participating state. Employees working on an out of state NLC license who later establish residency in Pennsylvania must apply for a PA Nursing license within 60 days of their residency change.
