    Join UPMC's Family Medicine team in Montoursville as a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN. This outpatient opportunity offers a predictable Monday - Friday, dayshift schedule (8:00am-4:30pm & 8:30am-5:00pm, along with rotating Saturday morning coverage (8:00am-12:00pm.     • $5,000 | 2-year commitment | Recent graduates and LPNs with 0-1 years of experience
    • $7,500 | 2-year commitment | LPNs with 1+ years of experience

    Purpose:

    Provides professional nursing care to office patients under supervision of patient care providers.

    Responsibilities:

    • Draw blood.
    • Administer medications, including oral, SQ, IM, and IV drip therapies.
    • Perform IV therapy under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
    • Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
    • Assess patients' general condition, including vital signs and weight.
    • Promote wellness through patient education and by communicating physician instructions and recommendations.
    • Document patient care activities, interventions, patient and family responses, and medications in the medical record.
    • Maintain strict confidentiality of medical records and patient information.
    • Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including those established by OSHA, CLIA, and the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
    • Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing.

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

    • Act 33 with renewal

    • Act 34 with renewal

    • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal

    • Basic Life Support (BLS OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR

    • CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

    • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN or Temporary Practice Permit (TPP

    • Current Pennsylvania nursing license, or a multistate license issued by an NLC‑participating state. Employees working on an out‑of‑state NLC license who later establish residency in Pennsylvania must apply for a PA Nursing license within 60 days of their residency change.
