    School Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Full Time | Spanaway Area, WA | 2026–2027 School Year

    Ampersand Therapy is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for two full-time, school-based opportunities in the Spanaway area for the 2026–2027 school year. Openings include a 1:1 student support assignment with bus transportation and a Program/Health Room position at an elementary school. Join a supportive team and help students stay healthy, safe, and ready to learn!

    Job Highlights:

    • Location: Spanaway, WA
    • Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) — 1:1 OR Program Nursing position available.
    • Schedule: Full-time M-F, school-day schedule
    • Start Date: ASAP

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide nursing care in accordance with student health plans, provider orders, and district procedures
    • Administer medications and prescribed treatments within the LPN scope of practice
    • Monitor student health needs and maintain accurate, timely documentation
    • Collaborate with the supervising nurse, school staff, families, and other providers to support student safety and participation
    • Respond to student health concerns and follow established emergency protocols
    • For the 1:1 assignment, provide consistent nursing support during the school day and bus transportation
    • For the Program/Health Room assignment, support students’ daily health needs and assist with health room services

    Qualifications:

    • Active Washington State Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
    • Current CPR/BLS certification
    • Ability to provide safe, student-centered nursing care in a school setting
    • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
    • Willingness to ride the bus with the student for the 1:1 assignment
    • Bilingual skills preferred for the Program/Health Room position
    • Pediatric or school-based nursing experience preferred
    • Ability to complete required district onboarding and background checks
