Description
A health services network in New York City is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a great opportunity at one of their outpatient behavioral health facilities.
About the Opportunity:
Schedule: Monday through Friday (with every other Saturday)
Hours: 6:15am to 1:45pm (Saturdays 8:15am to 12:15pm)
Setting: Outpatient clinic
Responsibilities:
- Dispense and administer prescribed medications while maintaining accurate documentation and accountability
- Assess patients and provide nursing care within scope of practice
- Verify recent methadone dosing for patients returning from hospital, detox, or other care settings
- Carry out provider orders and assist with crisis response, emergencies, and related procedures
- Collaborate with physicians, leadership, and clinical staff to support treatment planning and clinic operations
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in a substance abuse services environment
- Active NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Experience with medication dispensing
- Phlebotomy skills
- Ability to demonstrate clinical competence, sound judgment, problem-solving, communication, prioritization, and teamwork
Desired Skills:
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Methadone clinic experience
- Experience using an electronic medical records system
