    Employment Type: Contract
    Schedule: Monday Friday | 8:30 AM 5:30 PM (40 Hours/Week)
    Overtime: Occasional, Paid (Non-Exempt)
    Work Setting: 100% Onsite | Medical Facility
    Dress Code: Professional Business Attire (No Scrubs)

    Position Summary

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to review and clear pre-employment medical examinations in accordance with established occupational health protocols. This role requires excellent clinical judgment, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage a high-volume workload while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.

    Required Qualifications

    • Active Florida LPN License in good standing (RNs may be considered at a different pay rate)
    • 1 3 years of recent clinical nursing experience
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
    • Experience reviewing medical documentation and applying standardized clinical protocols
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and computer systems

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in Occupational Health or Employee Health
    • Experience reviewing work-related or pre-employment medical examinations
    • Maritime industry experience is a plus
    • Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision

    Key Responsibilities

    • Review pre-employment medical examinations for completeness, accuracy, and protocol compliance.
    • Evaluate and medically clear candidates based on established occupational health guidelines.
    • Identify missing or incomplete documentation and coordinate follow-up as needed.
    • Maintain accurate, confidential medical records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Manage a high volume of cases while meeting turnaround time expectations.
    • Collaborate with providers, internal departments, and support staff to ensure timely medical clearances.
    • Ensure compliance with organizational, state, and federal occupational health regulations.
    • Utilize electronic medical record systems and technology to support efficient workflow.
