Description
A social service organization in New York City is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to support care delivery in a homeless shelter setting in Upper Manahttan.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day shift
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Hours: 8am to 4pm or 8:30am to 4:30pm or 9am to 5pm
- Setting: Homeless shelter
Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site nursing support across primary care and shelter-based services
- Perform phlebotomy, obtain vital signs, and complete nursing screenings and documentation
- Administer medications, injections, and treatments as ordered by medical providers
- Support medication management, including pill packing, refill coordination, safe storage, and controlled substance logs
- Coordinate with medical staff, case management, and leadership while maintaining patient records and clinical equipment
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of clinical experience in a psychiatric, mental health, behavioral Health, Substance Use, or Primary Care setting
- Active NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- AHA BLS certification
- Phlebotomy experience
- Familiarity with electronic medical records documentation
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Desired Skills:
- Background as a Medical Assistant, Phlebotomist, or Ce
