    LPN / Medical Assistant (Staffing)

    Fort Myers, FL

    Position Summary

    We are seeking a professional, compassionate, and detail-oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified/Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) to support patient care in a wellness clinic in Fort Myers, FL. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent patient communication, and an interest in preventive health, wellness, and aesthetic or integrative services. This position will start immediately.

    This position will assist with patient intake, vital signs, clinical procedures, injections, specimen collection, documentation, and general clinical support in accordance with applicable state laws, professional scope of practice, provider orders, and clinic policies.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, medications, allergies, and other relevant patient information.
    • Prepare patients for provider visits, wellness services, and treatments.
    • Administer intramuscular, subcutaneous, and other permitted injections according to provider orders, clinic protocols, and applicable scope-of-practice requirements.
    • Prepare and handle medications, supplies, and injection materials according to clinic policies and applicable regulations.
    • Monitor patients before, during, and after injections or treatments and promptly report adverse reactions or concerns to the supervising/provider clinician.
    • Perform routine clinical procedures appropriate to the employee's licensure/certification and scope of practice.
    • Assist with blood draws, specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and other laboratory procedures when trained and authorized.
    • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
    • Follow infection-control, OSHA, bloodborne-pathogen, medication-safety, and sharps-disposal procedures.
    • Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked treatment and clinical areas.
    • Check supplies and assist with inventory management.
    • Provide patients with basic instructions regarding prescribed treatments and services as directed by the provider.
    • Assist providers with patient care and other clinical tasks as needed.
    • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
    • Provide a welcoming, professional patient experience consistent with the clinic's standards.
    • Participate in ongoing training and competency assessments related to injections, medications, emergency procedures, and clinic services.

    Qualifications

    LPN:

    • Current, unrestricted LPN/LVN license in Florida
    • Current CPR/BLS certification.
    • Clinical experience in an outpatient, primary care, wellness, urgent care, or similar setting preferred.
    • Demonstrated competency with injections and routine clinical procedures.

    Medical Assistant:

    • Current CMA, RMA, or other recognized Medical Assistant credential preferred/required based on applicable state and clinic requirements.
    • Current CPR/BLS certification.
    • Previous experience administering injections in a clinical setting preferred.
    • Demonstrated competency in vital signs, patient intake, EMR documentation, infection control, and routine clinical procedures.

    • Ability to follow written protocols and provider orders.

    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
    • Interest in wellness, preventive health, longevity, nutrition, aesthetics, or integrative health is a plus.

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
    • Ability to safely assist patients as needed.
    • Ability to perform repetitive clinical tasks and safely handle needles, syringes, and other medical equipment.
    • Ability to lift and move clinical supplies within reasonable workplace requirements.

    Important Scope-of-Practice Requirement

    All clinical duties, including medication preparation and administration, injections, specimen collection, and patient assessment, must be performed only to the extent permitted by the employee's license/certification, applicable state law, provider orders, and the clinic's policies and procedures.

    Schedule

    Full Time Monday to Friday 9AM to 5PM

    Compensation

    Compensation will be discussed based on qualifications and experience.
