Summary: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) performs a critical role in the school setting by working under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) to address the major health problems and daily health needs of children in the school setting. This role includes providing preventive and screening services, health education and assistance with decision-making about health, and to monitor immunization compliance against preventable diseases.

Essential Functions/Qualifications/Requirements:
Education and Experience:
Holds a current license as a licensed practical nurse in the state of Louisiana. Prefer two years of experience as a licensed practical nurse. Holds a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Willing to become a BLS instructor within 90 days of hire.
