    Overview:

    Sentara Hospice is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as an LPN.

    Overview:

    The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides basic nursing care under the supervision of an RN or Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP) in the clinical setting, within the scope of practice dictated by the State Boards of Nursing. The LPN must be detail-oriented, compassionate, and able to handle physically demanding tasks. The LPN is an essential member of the healthcare team offering patient care and supporting higher level nurse and physicians in delivering comprehensive medical services.

    Anticipated Status/Shift:

    Full Time (40 hours/week)

    Day shift (Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM)

    Position Location:

    Newport News, VA

    Education

    • Trade School Graduate of Licensed Practical Nurse program (Required)

    Certification/Licensure

    • LPN License in State of Practice (VA) (Required)
    • BLS (Required within 90 days)

    Experience

    • Prior hospice experience (Preferred)

    We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $28.57 - $43.04 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
