Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support seasonal flu vaccination clinics. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience administering vaccines and other injections while delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role requires strong clinical judgment, accurate documentation, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer influenza vaccines and other prescribed injections following established clinical protocols.
  • Assess patients prior to vaccination and monitor for any immediate adverse reactions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Follow infection prevention, medication administration, and patient safety guidelines.
  • Educate patients on vaccine benefits, possible side effects, and post-vaccination care.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and inventory management of vaccines and medical supplies.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory and clinical standards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
  • Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
  • Demonstrated experience administering injections, including vaccines, intramuscular (IM), subcutaneous (SQ), or other prescribed injections.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
  • Commitment to providing safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care.

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience in immunization, vaccination, occupational health, primary care, or public health clinics.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
