You will conduct comprehensive structural inspections across living areas, attics, and crawlspaces, identify pest activity and harborage zones, apply targeted EPA-registered treatments safely, and educate customers on integrated pest management (IPM) practices. Description for Licensed Pest Control Technician:
- Perform detailed, diagnostic inspections of residential and commercial properties, including attics, sub-areas, foundations, perimeters, and crawlspaces.
- Accurately identify insect, rodent, wood-destroying organism (WDO), and nuisance wildlife entry points, harborage zones, and signs of infestation.
- Safely mix, transport, handle, and apply approved EPA-registered biological and chemical pest treatments, dusts, and baits strictly per label instructions.
- Implement exclusion techniques, perimeter defense barriers, and preventative integrated pest management (IPM) measures.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain application sprayers, dusting rigs, bait stations, traps, and inspection gear.
- Educate property owners on sanitation recommendations, structural entry points, and ongoing preventative treatment plans.
- Complete clear, digital service logs, customer invoices, and regulatory chemical application records.
- Operate a company-provided service vehicle safely throughout designated daily route territories.
- Strictly comply with all Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) regulations, OSHA safety standards, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
