Licensed Personal Lines Account Manager Customer Service & Sales.

Connell Insurance Agency is seeking an experienced, customer-focused professional to join our team as a Licensed Insurance Customer Service & Sales Representative.

This full-time position focuses primarily on personal lines insurance, with additional responsibilities supporting our small business accounts. An active New Jersey Property & Casualty license and prior personal lines insurance agency experience are required. Commercial lines experience is a plus.

Salary Range: $62000.00 - $65000.00 per year

Responsibilities

• Assist clients by phone, email, and in person with coverage questions, billing inquiries, and policy changes.
• Quote and compare personal lines coverage across multiple carriers, including auto, homeowners, and umbrella and specialty policies.
• Prepare applications and process new business, renewals, and endorsements accurately and promptly.
• Review existing accounts to identify coverage needs, discounts, and remarketing opportunities.
• Explain coverage options and recommendations clearly.
• Follow up on quotes, outstanding documents, and underwriting requests.
• Identify opportunities for additional coverage and cross-sell when appropriate.
• Assist with quoting, servicing, and renewing small business accounts, including Businessowners Policies (BOPs), commercial auto, and workers compensation.
• Maintain accurate client records and document communications in the agency management system.

• Active New Jersey Property & Casualty insurance license required.
• Prior personal lines insurance agency experience required; two or more years preferred.
• Independent agency experience working with multiple carriers strongly preferred.
• Commercial lines experience preferred but not required; willingness to learn and support small business accounts is essential.
• Ability to handle routine quoting, client service, policy changes, and renewals independently after training on agency procedures.
• Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellent client service.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable, with strong follow-through.
• Comfortable using carrier websites, comparative rating tools, and agency management software.
• Available to work Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m.5:00 p.m.
• This position is fully on-site in Oaklyn, NJ. No remote or hybrid options are available.
• Must have reliable transportation to report to our Oaklyn office on time for scheduled work hours.
