    TradeSTAR is recruiting experienced FAL Fire Alarm Technicians for a client serving the Dallas-Fort Worth commercial market. If you know fire alarm systems, can troubleshoot problems in the field, and take pride in installations that are done right, we want to hear from you.

    Our client is an established life safety contractor with decades of industry experience and a strong presence throughout Texas. Their teams provide fire alarm and life safety solutions for healthcare, education, hospitality, office, and other commercial facilities.

    What You'll Do

    As an FAL Fire Alarm Technician, you'll use your experience throughout the installation, testing, and troubleshooting process.

    Your work may include:

    • Install commercial fire alarm cabling, devices, and equipment

    • Perform device and panel terminations

    • Install and work with duct detectors, notification appliances, initiating devices, and related equipment

    • Test and troubleshoot commercial fire alarm systems

    • Diagnose ground faults and other system issues

    • Read blueprints, riser diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation

    • Determine cable pathways and device locations

    • Perform fire alarm system testing and verify proper operation

    • Use meters and testing equipment to diagnose system problems

    • Apply your working knowledge of NFPA 72

    • Assist with system programming and commissioning

    • Complete required testing and project documentation

    • Work alongside other experienced life safety professionals to deliver quality installations

    What We're Looking For

    • Active State of Texas Fire Alarm License (FAL)

    • Commercial fire alarm installation experience

    • Experience terminating fire alarm devices and equipment

    • Panel termination experience

    • Fire alarm testing and troubleshooting ability

    • Knowledge of NFPA 72

    • Ability to troubleshoot ground faults

    • Ability to read prints, risers, and schematics

    • Familiarity with fire alarm programming and commissioning

    • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

    • Reliable transportation

    Additional experience with acceptance testing, system documentation, surveys, as-builts, shop drawings, riser drawings, or suppression systems is a plus.
