Licensed Electrician

Mr. Electric of Oak Park is seeking a Licensed Electrician who is experienced with local permitting requirements and can efficiently pull electrical permits across Oak Park, River Forest, Chicago, and surrounding municipalities. Neither Mr. Electric LLC (“Franchisor”) nor its affiliates have the power to: (1) hire, fire or modify the employment condition of franchisee’s employees; (2) supervise and control franchisee’s employee work schedule or conditions of employment; (3) determine the rate and method of payment; or (4) accept, review or maintain franchisee employment records.

Mr. Electric of Oak Park is seeking a Licensed Electrician who is experienced with local permitting requirements and can efficiently pull electrical permits across Oak Park, River Forest, Chicago, and surrounding municipalities. This is a part time role ideal for a electrician who prefers flexible scheduling, light fieldwork, and administrative permit responsibilities rather than full time service calls. 


Specific Responsibilities:

• Pull electrical permits for residential and light commercial projects in Oak Park and nearby jurisdictions
• Coordinate with village/city building departments to ensure timely permit approval
• Maintain accurate records of permit applications, approvals, and inspections
• Communicate with office staff regarding permit status, scheduling, and required documentation
• Occasionally perform site visits for permit related verification or inspection readiness
• Ensure all work complies with NEC, local codes, and municipal requirements
  
  

Job Requirements:

• Valid electrical license with the ability to pull permits in Oak Park and surrounding municipalities
• Familiarity with Chicago area permitting processes (Oak Park, River Forest, Berwyn, Cicero, Chicago, etc.)
• Strong understanding of residential electrical code compliance
• Professional communication skills and reliability
• Valid driver’s license
