Job Description


This role involves performing electrical installations on a new construction site, including wiring exterior pole lighting, kitchen lighting, and building receptacles. You will work as part of a team to complete commercial construction projects safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards.


Responsibilities


+ Install and wire exterior pole lighting on a new construction site.

+ Install and wire kitchen lighting, ensuring proper placement, safety, and functionality.

+ Install, wire, and test all building receptacles throughout the facility.

+ Interpret and follow electrical plans, drawings, and specifications for commercial construction projects.

+ Use appropriate tools and equipment to perform electrical installations safely and accurately.

+ Work on ladders and lifts to complete electrical work at various heights.

+ Collaborate closely with other electricians and helpers to coordinate tasks and maintain workflow.

+ Provide guidance, coaching, and task delegation to helpers and less experienced team members as needed.

+ Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures.

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including proper handling of tools and materials.

+ Adapt to changing job site conditions and schedules, including working outdoors in varying weather.

+ Complete assigned tasks within project timelines while maintaining high quality standards.


Essential Skills


+ Proven experience performing electrical installations in commercial construction environments.

+ Strong knowledge of electrical wiring for exterior pole lighting, kitchen lighting, and building receptacles.

+ Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, drawings, and specifications.

+ Proficiency with electrical tools and equipment commonly used on construction sites.

+ Current EE98J license in good standing.

+ Experience working on ladders and lifts to perform elevated electrical work.

+ Ability to work effectively as part of a team with other electricians and helpers.

+ Strong communication skills to coordinate tasks and provide clear direction.

+ Commitment to safety and adherence to electrical codes and site safety protocols.

+ Flexibility to work a 40-hour workweek with variable schedules, including weekends when required.

+ Experience in commercial construction projects.

+ Experience coaching and delegating tasks to helpers or junior team members.

+ Ability to work outdoors and remain productive in varying weather conditions.

+ Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve electrical issues on site.

Work Environment

The environment is active and fast-paced, with coordination among multiple trades and adherence to job site safety practices. Appropriate work attire suitable for a construction site is required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.90 - $50.90/hr.
