Description

We are seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our multidisciplinary mental health and behavioral care team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive mental health assessments, evidence-based psychotherapy, and case management services to active-duty United States Coast Guard members in Kodiak, AK. Job Responsibilities

Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing clinical interview techniques and standardized tools.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, applied behavior analysis, and motivational interviewing.
Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions tailored to clients’ needs across a range of conditions including PTSD, addiction, autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, and mental health disorders.
Facilitate crisis intervention strategies to ensure patient safety during acute episodes.
Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical documentation standards within EMR/EHR systems.
Coordinate care with medical professionals, community resources, and families for holistic patient support.
Collect data for clinical research projects related to behavioral health interventions and patient outcomes.
Manage case documentation including medical records, progress notes, and treatment summaries following confidentiality policies.
Engage in ongoing professional development related to behavioral health trends, new therapies, and clinical research advancements.
Support patients from diverse cultural backgrounds by applying culturally sensitive social work practices.

Qualifications

Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, or behavioral therapy.
Demonstrated expertise working with children, adolescents, or individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
Experience working within hospital settings or home & community care environments preferred.
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and data collection purposes.
Knowledge of medical terminology, psychiatric diagnoses (ICD-10/ICD-9 coding), CPT coding for billing purposes.
Strong skills in crisis management, patient assessment, case management, and mental health interventions.
Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
