Licensed Clinical Access to Care Coordinator

Master's degree in a mental health related field and minimum of three (3) years of experience conducting family-centered, strengths-based, culturally competent intakes and assessments in office or field-based setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience (two years of relevant experience equals one year of education) to include: Current California licensure as a Psychologist, LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC. Possible Bilingual Differentials: Up to 7.5% for qualifying direct-service roles; up to $80.00/month flat fee for qualifying non-direct service roles.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 830am to 5pm

 

Compensation We Offer   

 

• The initial compensation for this position ranges from $71,760 to $88,256 Per Year, depending on experience, location and internal equity considerations 

 

Possible Additional Compensation (may vary based on position eligibility) 

 

• 8% License Differential for LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, PsyD. and select Peer Certifications 

• Possible Bilingual Differentials: Up to 7.5% for qualifying direct-service roles; up to $80.00/month flat fee for qualifying non-direct service roles.

Overview:

Facilitates access to mental health services for clients by coordinating referrals, appointments, and insurance authorizations. Works with clients to assess their needs and connect them with appropriate resources. Collaborates with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and community organizations to ensure clients receive timely and appropriate care. Monitors and tracks client progress, conducts follow-up assessments, and provides ongoing support and advocacy. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and maintains accurate documentation of client interactions and services provided.

Responsibilities:

• Conducts clinical assessments to determine client needs and level of care.
• Coordinates referrals, appointments, and service authorizations for mental health treatment.
• Collaborates with healthcare providers, insurers, and community partners to facilitate access to services.
• Assists clients in navigating mental health systems, insurance processes, and available resources.
• Provides clinical guidance and support to ensure clients are connected to the appropriate level of care.
• Tracks client progress and conducts follow-ups to support engagement and service continuity.
• Advocates for clients to address service barriers and ensure timely access to care.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory and agency standards.Ensures service coordination aligns with clinical, ethical, and legal guidelines.
• Participates in team meetings and case conferences to support integrated care planning.

• Master's degree in a mental health related field and minimum of three (3) years of experience conducting family-centered, strengths-based, culturally competent intakes and assessments in office or field-based setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience (two years of relevant experience equals one year of education) to include:
• Current California licensure as a Psychologist, LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC.
• Experience with Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (LACDMH) documentation requirements.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR); experience with Welligent .
• Bilingual skills highly desirable , based on the needs of the clinic’s client population.
• Valid California driver’s license and an insurable driving record under the clinic’s liability policy.
