LICENSED ALCOHOL & DRUG ABUSE COUNSELOR

Job Description:

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Will support the court"s compliance program by providing rapid-access substance use assessments, counseling, referrals, and monitoring for DWI and other high risk participants. Your work will help participants enter treatment quickly and stay engaged through structured intensive outpatient programming.

Additional Information:

STARTING HOURLY PAY: $34.54 p/h

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED
• Current New Mexico LADAC License (LADAC or high-level LCSW/LPCC acceptable if experienced in substance abuse use treatment).
• Experience with DWI, addiction treatment or justice involved populations.
• Valid driver's license (state of residence). Must meet City's insurability requirements.
• Training in motivational interviewing preferred.
• Ability to work with individuals in crisis, relapse, or early recovery.
• Strong record, keeping skills and comfort with testifying in court.

• Reliable communication and availability for court related needs.
