Job Summary

Join our team as a Licensed 1st Grade Boiler Operator/Stationary Engineer in Memphis - East, TN. This role is crucial in ensuring our production equipment operates efficiently with minimal downtime. You will perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot issues to maintain optimal equipment performance.

Responsibilities

• Possess a 1st Grade Stationary Engineer License with the City of Memphis.
• Ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.
• Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Identify sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hand and power tools.
• Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts and using measuring instruments.
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
• Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.
• Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
• Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock and placing orders as needed.
• Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
• Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
• Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publications.
• Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
