  • Pay Considerations - The salary range for the position is $74,816.48 - $120,012.89. Starting salary is dependent on education, qualifications, and experience.
  • Work Schedule - This position is scheduled to work 4 days per week, 9 hours per day, (36 hour work week)Monday through Thursday, 8:00am to 6:00pm.

THE ROLE

Under general direction, provides comprehensive strategic, operational, and administrative leadership for the North Las Vegas Library District's development function. Responsibilities include collaborating with the Friends of the North Las Vegas Library District (FRIENDS), grants management, volunteer programs, and bookstore management. Oversees and manages the delivery of services pertaining to the District's development initiatives, fosters community relationships, and exercises oversight of District-wide partnerships, projects, programs, and committees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or closely related field. Master's degree in Public or Business Administration is desired.
  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative level experience in program support, grant-writing, non-profit management and/or non-profit bookkeeping, including two (2) years of experience overseeing program operations. Public agency experience preferred.
  • Equivalency: Seven (7) years of combined education, training, and experience demonstrating the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Nevada state driver's license and maintain a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
  • Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) is desired.
  • Incumbents in positions that require possession of valid licensing/certification as a condition of employment must obtain and maintain such credentials within the established time periods, and throughout the course of employment. Failure to obtain or maintain required licenses or certifications in good standing may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

SELECTION PROCESS

  • Oral Board Interview - (Weighted 100%, Passing Score 70%).
  • Pre-Employment Screening - Selected candidates for this position are subject to a pre-employment screening which includes but is not limited to local & state criminal history check; federal criminal history checks via submission of fingerprints; and drug screening. *IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Background check processing may take 2 to 3 months to complete.
