Description
Performs professional library work planning, developing, coordinating, and evaluating library services and outreach provided through the Lynchburg Public Library's Bookmobile. The successful candidate will be responsible for collection development, programming, community outreach, and the supervision and evaluation of Bookmobile staff. Works collaboratively with the Bookmobile Manager of Operations to ensure effective, responsive, and high-quality Bookmobile service. This position will work directly on the Bookmobile and drive the vehicle and will be required to work nights, weekends, and special community events.

Directly supervises assigned staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
