Leveler Line Operator

Verifies width, Serial Number, against tags and work order, Records serial number onto each slit material, files complete work order in appropriate location. Equipment Used: Micrometer, caliper, tape measure, banding equipment, overhead crane, forklift.

Essential Job Functions:

*Assists in banding of coils at recoiler and transfer to turnstile
*Verifies width, Serial Number, against tags and work order, Records serial number onto each slit material, files complete work order in appropriate location
*Assists in downtilting of coils onto package line
*Prepares coils for shipping
-Places banding on coils with automatic and manual banding equipment as specified
-Loads coils onto pallets as required by customer with electric jib crane
-Assures product identification is secured to coils and is legible
*Assist with movement of finished product into shipping and storage
*Rotates function with Rotary Shear Leveler Operator
*Adheres to all company safety and quality standards
*Maintains a clean and safe work area

*Performs other duties as directed
Physical Requirements

+Ability to climb stairs
+Able to walk and stand for extended periods of time
+Ability to lift 50#
+Subject to temperatures up to 105 F with humidity comparable to outside environment
+Subject to normal industrial hazards and hazards form sharp edges of sheet metal
+Subject to air/skin exposure to oil
Minimum Requirements
Literate in English language
Ability to operate overhead crane and fork truck
Ability to use banding tools
Ability to use tape measure and understanding of metric system
Understanding of KSC tag information
