What You ll Do
Install and route Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling in commercial environments
Perform copper terminations on jacks, patch panels, and other connectivity hardware
Assist with fiber installation and termination
Build clean, organized MDF/IDF rooms and telecom closets
Install cable pathways, J-hooks, supports, racks, and related infrastructure
Read blueprints, floor plans, and cable schedules
Label and test installed cabling
Troubleshoot cabling and connectivity issues
Maintain clean, professional installations that meet industry standards
Work alongside lead technicians and project leadership to keep installations on schedule
Follow jobsite safety requirements and company quality standards
What We re Looking For
2+ years of commercial structured cabling experience
Strong experience pulling, routing, dressing, and supporting cable
Experience terminating Cat5e and Cat6 cabling
Familiarity with patch panels, racks, J-hooks, and cable pathways
Ability to read basic prints, drawings, and cable schedules
Fiber optic experience is a plus
Familiarity with cable testing equipment is preferred
Ability to work independently while also contributing to a crew
Reliable transportation and a valid driver s license
Dependable, safety-conscious, and committed to quality workmanship
