    Level II Commercial Audio/Visual Technician | DFW, TX

    You ve learned how to work on a commercial jobsite, pull and identify AV cabling, mount equipment, read drawings, and help bring systems together. Now it s time to put that experience to work on larger projects and keep building your career.

    TradeSTAR is recruiting a Level II Commercial Audio/Visual Technician for a long-term opportunity with an established North Texas technology integrator.

    You ll work alongside experienced AV professionals installing technology in schools, corporate facilities, healthcare environments, and other commercial buildings throughout North Texas.

    This is permanent commercial AV installation not live events, entertainment, or production work.

    Put Your AV Experience to Work

    As a Level II AV Technician, you ll handle hands-on installation responsibilities with general supervision while continuing to develop your technical and troubleshooting skills.

    Your responsibilities may include:

    • Pulling, routing, identifying, and labeling AV, audio, video, and control cabling

    • Terminating coaxial and speaker connections

    • Installing cable supports, pathways, and related hardware

    • Mounting displays, speakers, cameras, and other AV equipment

    • Assisting with AV rack builds and equipment integration

    • Reading blueprints and construction drawings to identify cable paths and equipment locations

    • Assisting with basic system layouts and equipment installation

    • Testing and troubleshooting installed AV systems

    • Supporting system maintenance and project documentation

    • Updating as-built drawings and installation records

    • Working with Lead Technicians and Project Managers to keep installations on schedule

    • Providing guidance to Helpers and less-experienced technicians when needed

    What We re Looking For

    We re looking for technicians with at least two years of relevant installation experience who are ready to take on more responsibility in the field.

    Ideal experience includes:

    • Commercial AV, low-voltage, communications, or structured cabling installation

    • Commercial construction jobsite experience

    • Pulling, identifying, labeling, and terminating AV cabling

    • Audio system installation, maintenance, and basic layout

    • Reading blueprints, floor plans, and construction drawings

    • Basic testing and troubleshooting

    • Using common hand tools and test equipment

    • Working safely from ladders and lifts

    • Communicating effectively with technicians, supervisors, and other trades
