TradeSTAR is seeking a Level II Commercial Audio Visual Technician for a long-term opportunity with an established North Texas AV integrator.
You ll work on permanent commercial AV installations throughout the DFW area, gaining hands-on experience alongside seasoned technicians and project leaders while continuing to develop your installation, troubleshooting, and leadership skills.
This is commercial construction AV not live event, entertainment, or production work.

What You ll Do
As a Level II Commercial AV Technician, you ll help build and support permanently installed audio visual systems in commercial environments.
Your work may include:
Pull, identify, label, and route audio, video, control, and low-voltage cabling
Install and terminate AV cabling and connections
Install J-hooks, pathways, cable supports, and related infrastructure
Mount displays, speakers, cameras, and other AV equipment
Assist with AV rack construction and equipment installation
Perform routine AV installation, service, and maintenance
Read blueprints and construction drawings to identify cable routes and device locations
Assist with system testing and troubleshooting
Help maintain accurate project and as-built documentation
Participate in job planning and system layout
Work alongside Lead Technicians and Project Managers
Help guide less-experienced installers when needed
What We re Looking For
You ve already developed a foundation in commercial AV or low-voltage installation. Now you re ready to put those skills to work with greater independence and responsibility.
Qualified candidates should have:
2+ years of commercial AV, communications systems, or related low-voltage experience
Hands-on commercial construction experience
Experience pulling, routing, and terminating AV or low-voltage cabling
Familiarity with common AV equipment and installation practices
Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
Basic testing and troubleshooting abilities
Ability to safely work from ladders and lifts
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Reliable transportation
Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
A commitment to safe, quality workmanship
