    Wilmer and the surrounding South Dallas area continue to grow with new warehouses, distribution centers, industrial facilities, and commercial developments all of which depend on reliable network infrastructure.

    TradeSTAR is seeking Level I Voice/Data Technicians for long-term commercial low-voltage projects in Wilmer, TX.

    What You ll Do

    • Pull and route Cat5e, Cat6, and other low-voltage cabling in commercial environments

    • Install J-hooks, cable supports, pathways, and other basic low-voltage infrastructure

    • Dress, organize, and secure cable according to project requirements

    • Assist with terminating data jacks, patch panels, and other connectivity hardware

    • Label cables, faceplates, patch panels, and related equipment

    • Assist with basic cable testing and troubleshooting

    • Assist with building out telecom rooms, MDFs, and IDFs

    • Read and follow basic floor plans, cable schedules, and installation drawings

    • Work alongside Level II, Level III, and Lead Technicians to complete installations

    • Maintain clean and organized work areas

    • Follow jobsite safety requirements and company procedures

    • Learn proper structured cabling installation methods and industry best practices

    What We re Looking For

    • 6+ months of commercial low-voltage, structured cabling, or related installation experience preferred

    • Familiarity with pulling and routing Cat5e and Cat6 cabling

    • Basic knowledge of J-hooks, cable supports, racks, and pathways

    • Some experience terminating data jacks or patch panels preferred

    • Familiarity with basic low-voltage hand tools

    • Ability to follow instructions, cable routes, and basic construction drawings

    • Comfortable working from ladders and lifts when required

    • Ability to work effectively as part of a commercial installation crew

    • Willingness to learn and develop additional technical skills

    • Reliable transportation and a valid driver s license

    • Dependable, safety-conscious, and committed to quality workmanship
