Level 3 CNC Machinist

Position Title: Level 3 CNC Machinist
Location: Rancho Dominguez, CA 
Duration: FTE (Direct)
Salary: USD $30-39.60/Hr Full time

Who we are looking for / Requirements:
7+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, perform own set-ups and machine the part to drawings and specifications
Proficient in the use of machinist hand tools and measuring instruments
Ability to machine and measure +/- 0.001” or less tolerances
Ability to design and make complex tooling and fixtures with guidance and approval
Ability to do complex programming using CAD/CAM with guidance and approval
Possesses the written, verbal and interaction skills necessary to work both independently and cooperatively
Willing to learn new machines and software
Preferred Experience:
Must have experience using CAD/CAM systems, preferably Auto Desk Fusion 360 or NX
Graduate in a machine tool technology program, machinist apprenticeship program or completion of a Trade School program
Performance Objectives / What you'll be doing:
Program, set up, and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and machine parts to ±0.001" tolerances.
Create and modify complex CNC programs using CAD/CAM software.
Design and build tooling and fixtures to support production.
Inspect parts using precision measuring tools and make necessary adjustments.
Improve machining processes, tooling, and work instructions.
Troubleshoot machining issues and work independently or with the production team.
