Position Summary: Under the direction of the Senior Director of Level I Licensing, the supervisor is responsible for supervision, guidance, and monitoring of the work and staff within the Licensing Team. The Supervisor will ensure the successful completion of Level I licensure applications promoting compliance with all licensing requirements. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Supervise and provide guidance to Licensing staff including tasks specific to eligibility and regulatory requirements for level 1 licensure. Assist the Senior Director of Licensing with problem resolution. Assist peer Licensing Supervisors with the monitoring and approval of data collection, regulatory and eligibility activities, as needed Facilitate routine staff (one on one) and team meetings for guidance, coaching, and communication. Receives caregiver and CMA calls, log any complaints, respond to requests or assistance in a timely and effective manner Establish and maintain effective mechanisms to promote timely problem identification, resolution, and licensing. Collaborate with Kinship, Operations, and Case Management in the continuum from placement and or opt in to initial licensing. Participate as a member of the Licensing Leadership Team in creating and carrying out strategies for continuous improvement and strategic planning. Utilize reports and data to monitor productivity and services and ensure they are delivered in an effective and efficient manner. Establish and maintain documented team process and scorecards, to monitor workload standards, service goals and priorities. Conduct licensing file packet review for completeness and correctness for submission to DCF licensing for processing and issuance of license by DCF. Partner with CMAs and County Operations to ensure support and compliance throughout the licensure process. Examples include training, one-on-one assistance, or meetings. Monitor licensing submission and ensure standards are met for code requirements, licensing expiration and DCF submission monthly. Participate in DCF licensing reviews and other applicable monitoring such as Embrace Families Federal funding monitoring reviews. Participates in creation and annual reviews of Unit Policy and Procedure Manuals to ensure all policy and procedures reflect current state, federal and system of care requirements. Participates in the agency strategic plan and quality improvement processes Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and quantitative productivity standards. QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED: Bachelors degree and at least 3 years of child welfare experience, minimum 2 years in child placing licensing or appropriate knowledge of licensing and regulatory standards. Florida Child Welfare Certification PREFERRED: Supervisory experience Knowledge of the current System of Care Knowledge of state SACWIS/CCWIS systems; FSFN SKILLS: REQUIRED: Ability to understand and interpret statute, administrative code and operating procedure Strong computer, analytic nd research skills Effective verbal and written skills Good organizational skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Ability to develop and utilize tracking mechanisms Ability to analyze, integrate and report data Demonstrate cultural and linguistic competence and sensitivity to population served Ability to travel SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Thorough Background Screening upon hire including FBI, FDLE, Local Law check, Employment Reference check, DMV check, Criminal Records check, Social Security Trace and Drug Screening. FDLE check will be run at least every 5 years.
