Lending Assistant opportunity with a Texas Regional Bank. This role serves as the backbone of the lending team—managing daily administrative and operational tasks while building strong customer relationships from initial application through final loan payoff.
The
Lending Assistant is responsible for below specific duties.
Your specific duties will include:- Assist loan officers with processing consumer, commercial, and real estate loan applications from origination through closing.
- Collect, review, and verify client financial documentation (e.g., income statements, tax returns, credit reports).
- Prepare and maintain loan files, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with banking regulations.
- Generate and process loan documentation, disclosures, and closing packages.
- Serve as a point of contact for customers, providing updates, answering questions, and gathering required information.
- Coordinate with internal departments, title companies, appraisers, and other third parties to facilitate loan processing.
- Monitor loan pipelines, tickler systems, and reporting to ensure timely progression and funding of loans.
- Input and maintain accurate loan data in the bank's systems and prepare reports as required.
- Ensure compliance with all bank policies and applicable federal and state lending regulations.
- Provide general administrative support to the lending department and assist with special projects as needed.
Required qualifications for the position include:- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 1–3 years of banking experience
- Previous Lending Assistant or lending support role preferred.
- Basic knowledge of loan documentation, loan processing, and banking regulations is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems.
Pay Rate Range: $52,000 - $70,000 annually
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits, including medical, dental, and vision as well as a 401(k) plan.
