Position Description
The Legislative Department has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time Legislative Assistant - Scheduler in the Office of Councilmember Maritza Rivera (District 4). This is a dynamic, fast-paced, and collegial environment that provides an opportunity for you to demonstrate your skills in administrative office operations, communication, and to grow professionally.
We are seeking a self-starter with strong attention to detail and keen sense of organization; the ability to prioritize and demonstrate sound judgment; discretion in handling sensitive and confidential matters; and the ability to manage multiple projects while responding quickly and professionally to those who contact the office. Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills are essential to this role.
This is an critical position in a hard-working office where teamwork and individual responsibility are valued. The office is comprised of three staff members with this position reporting directly to Councilmember Rivera. This at-will appointment serves at the discretion of the Councilmember.

TOTAL COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is classified as a Legislative Assistant and is exempt from the Seattle Civil Service System. The full salary range for this classification is $46,938 - $159,794 annually ($22.48 - $76.53 hourly). The salary range for this individual role has been identified as $72,000 - $80,000 annually ($34.48 - $38.31 hourly).
Additionally, the City offers a comprehensive benefits package including vacation, holiday, and sick leave as well as medical, dental vision, life, and long-term disability insurance for employees.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position will be onsite at Seattle City Hall (600 Fourth Ave. 2nd Floor, Seattle, WA).
