Trade association seeks a temporary Legislative Affairs Coordinator to support daily operations for their busy Capitol Hill office.
Responsibilities:
Schedule internal meetings and prepare pertinent materials and documents.
Handle logistics for onsite events and coalition meetings.
Coordinate executive tasks for senior leadership.
Track expenditures, process invoices, and support yearly budget planning alongside senior leadership.
Coordinate grassroots program activities and fly-ins.
Interact with external building vendors and serve as the point of contact for maintenance needs and tenant requests related to parking and building access.
Monitor office inventory and order supplies as necessary.
Assist with additional special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Effectively manages workload in a fast-paced working environment.
Positive, professional attitude and ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and external stakeholders.
Highly organized and attentive to detail.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Flexible and able to adapt to changing environments.
Familiarity with standard office policies and procedures.
Strong computer and software skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree.
Experience in government affairs or with political campaigns.
Previous administrative and event planning experience.
Rate: $20 an hour.
