Description

Legal Support – Hybrid

Our client is seeking a Legal Support for a 12-month contract position with potential for extension. This is a hybrid role in downtown Nashville, TN, and candidates must be local to Middle Tennessee and able to commute onsite as required.

The Legal Support will support care-program eligibility, case management, client interviews, legal research, documentation, and administrative activities. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, communication, analytical, and technical skills, with experience in healthcare, managed care, legal support, case management, eligibility, or customer service preferred.

Training: Up to 6 weeks of scheduled virtual and/or onsite training. Candidates must be available to attend all required training, and preplanned PTO is not permitted during training weeks.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Location: Nashville, TN – Hybrid
Contract: 12 months, with possible extension

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Determine individual and family eligibility for care and managed-care programs.
  • Conduct client interviews and gather accurate facts, information, and supporting documentation.
  • Compile and organize case information for attorney review and recommendations.
  • Manage assigned casework from intake through resolution while meeting established deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate and complete case documentation and records.
  • Conduct legal research and assist with analysis of legal documents and related information.
  • Draft and prepare legal and administrative documents as required.
  • Research and extract information from multiple databases and systems.
  • Communicate and coordinate schedules with internal and external clients.
  • Document findings clearly and accurately.
  • Attend workgroup and team meetings and participate in discussions.
  • Provide administrative and program support to leadership as needed.
  • Prioritize multiple assignments and maintain productivity with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree required.
  • Strong case management, case processing, or eligibility determination skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong research, analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Strong documentation, note-taking, email organization, and follow-up skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to work efficiently with multiple databases and information systems.
  • Ability to conduct interviews and gather accurate information from clients.
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally and accurately.

Preferred Experience (not required)

  • Paralegal studies or legal education.
  • Legal assistant, paralegal, or legal support experience.
  • Managed care, healthcare, eligibility, or benefits-program experience.
  • Case management or case-processing experience.
  • Customer service or call-center experience.
    Important: Candidates must be local to Middle Tennessee and able to commute to downtown Nashville for the required hybrid schedule.
