Description

Overview

Microsoft's Corporate, External & Legal Affairs (CELA) organization supports one of the most complex commercial businesses in the world. The Global Frontline team in Customer & Partner Solutions (CPS) serves as a legal front door for Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) and Microsoft Elevate, helping business clients obtain timely, practical legal support and resolving matters at the appropriate level while partnering with attorneys and subject matter experts on higher-risk or specialized issues.

The Legal Service Delivery Specialist is a frontline legal professional operating at the intersection of legal support, service delivery, and workflow improvement. You will serve as a primary legal contact for business clients, resolve complex matters within the team's scope with minimal supervision, and work across CELA to identify risk, resolve issues, and deliver consistent support across regions.

This role offers the opportunity to help define the next generation of legal service delivery within CELA. In addition to supporting individual matters, you will help simplify recurring legal work, strengthen readiness, and develop more scalable ways to support the business. You will work with attorneys, legal professionals, and technology partners to improve workflows and responsibly use data, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities to increase the speed, quality, and reach of legal support.

Microsoft's mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

  • Build strong knowledge of Microsoft's businesses, commercial priorities, CELA processes, and relevant legal frameworks, and apply regional and cultural context to deliver practical, business-focused support.
  • Manage a high volume of matters across multiple clients, priorities, and regions, exercising sound judgment regarding risk, prioritization, escalation, and resource allocation.

Service Delivery and Readiness

  • Identify recurring client needs, readiness gaps, and process inefficiencies. Work with attorneys and other legal professionals to develop practical guidance, playbooks, intake requirements, training, and self-service resources that allow the team to take on work deliberately and consistently.
  • Use service data and stakeholder feedback to identify trends, assess quality, and recommend improvements to Global Frontline's scope, processes, and client experience.

Continuous Improvement and Workflow Innovation

  • Help redesign repeatable legal work for scale and speed. Translate legal and business needs into improved workflows and partner with legal operations, technology, and engineering teams to implement solutions.
  • Support responsible adoption of automation and AI-enabled capabilities in legal workflows, and lead or contribute to projects that help Global Frontline adopt more effective ways of working.
