    ZAI is seeking an experienced and highly analytical Legal Research Librarian to provide advanced research, information retrieval, and investigative support for a prominent Federal agency's policy, and legal operations. This role is ideal for a highly skilled researcher who excels at uncovering hard-to-find information, conducting sophisticated legal and public records research, and delivering comprehensive research products that support complex legal matters and high-profile litigation.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct advanced legal, legislative, regulatory, and historical research using leading legal and government resources.

    • Identify, evaluate, and vet expert witnesses, producing comprehensive reports that analyze litigation history, testimony, publications, professional credentials, licensing records, and public-source information.

    • Perform complex public records and asset research to locate individuals, entities, and critical information.

    • Support attorneys and legal teams across diverse practice areas by delivering timely, accurate, and well-documented research products.

    • Research specialized topics in legal, scientific, medical, and industry-specific fields.

    • Deliver clear, actionable research findings in a concise and professional manner

    Required Qualifications

    • Master''''s degree in Library Science (MLS/MLIS) from an ALA accredited institution.

    • Minimum four years of experience providing advanced research and reference services in a legal, government, or research-intensive environment.

    • Strong understanding of federal and state court systems, litigation processes, court filings, and legal terminology.

    • Expertise with legal research platforms, including Westlaw, Lexis, Bloomberg Law, and HeinOnline.

    • Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate complex findings clearly and concisely.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience supporting a federal government agency.

    • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

    • Familiarity with Factiva, JSTOR, ProQuest Congressional, Mergent Online, EBSCO, and government information resources.
