This position will research and verify the accuracy of all attested affidavits and attachments for use in court. The Legal Recoveries Specialist will maintain, audit, and represent records in court for the company.How will you drive value within the organization as a Legal Recoveries Specialist I?Serve as a Custodian of Business Records which includes verifying the completeness and accuracy of all recordsProvide deposition and trial testimony by representing Global Lending Services in courtInteract directly with outside law firms, court personnel, and in-house counsel regarding affidavit contentUnderstand and accurately explain account acquisition and record keeping processes to both internal and external sourcesAnalyze and report on all daily affidavits processedAppropriately process incoming and outgoing mail from multiple sourcesProficiently review all Affidavit requests and assignments of JudgmentProvide departmental support by resolving issues, cross‑training staff, performing notarizations, and conducting legal research as neededAssist in the setup of new Servicers with the Affidavit processActs as a resource and liaison for internal and external stakeholders by monitoring the Affidavit inbox, answering questions, and providing necessary assistancePerform additional assignments and legal duties as required by the needs of the company or directed by managementWhat should you already know to be successful as a Legal Recoveries Specialist I?Minimum of bachelor's degree requiredParalegal Certification requiredNotary Public certification required (or ability to obtain Notary Public certification)Minimum of 2 years' experience in a related role required, preferably working for a law firmCourtroom experience including trials, arbitrations, depositions, and mediation is a plusStrong problem‑solving and analytical skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to multi‑taskAbility to exercise sound judgment, effectively manage highly sensitive and confidential information, interact at all levels within the organization, and build cross‑functional partnerships across the businessExcellent work ethic and exceptional attention to detailAbility to work under pressure and within deadlines to complete projects on timeTeam player that can adapt in a fast‑paced and changing environmentCommitment to exemplifying the organizational core values and key competenciesMust be able to work on a team or independently with minimal supervisionMust have the ability to effectively represent Global Lending Services LLC in industry and/or public meetings and interactionsProficient computer skills with working knowledge of internet and standard business applications; ability to quickly learn new computer applications as requiredEmployment RequirementsSignificant portions of daily assignments involve application of manual skills requiring motor coordination in combination with finger dexterityRemain in a stationary position up to 100% of the workdayConstantly operate a computer and other standard office equipmentJob functions involve sedentary to light physical effort.
