The role focuses on modernizing and scaling legal operations through technology, automation, and process improvement. It involves transforming repetitive legal work into self-service solutions, optimizing legal technology such as CLM, matter management, e-billing, and legal AI, and improving workflows, intake processes, and playbooks. The role also partners with teams across the company to ensure legal and risk considerations are incorporated into technology initiatives, while using metrics and dashboards to track efficiency, workload, spending, and adoption. Additionally, it ensures processes and system knowledge are well documented to support long-term continuity and growth.
Productizing legal work: Turn repetitive legal tasks into scalable, self-service solutions.
Legal technology: Implement, optimize, and integrate tools such as CLM, matter management, e-billing, and legal AI.
Process automation: Improve workflows, playbooks, intake processes, training, and adoption to increase efficiency.
Cross-functional partnership: Represent Legal in broader company technology initiatives and ensure legal and risk requirements are addressed.
Data & reporting: Build metrics and dashboards to track workload, efficiency, spend, and technology adoption.
Knowledge management: Document processes and system configurations to ensure long-term continuity and sustainability.
[7+ years] in legal operations, legal technology, or a related operational role, with demonstrated success leading change and implementation projects.
Hands-on experience selecting and deploying legal tools (CLM, matter management, e-billing, or comparable platforms) end to end. Experience with Ironclad, Coupa, Workato, Omnea is desirable.
Comfort operating cross-functionally at an enterprise scale, representing a function's interests in initiatives that span IT, Security, Finance, Procurement, and business units.
Fluency with data, including building reports, interpreting metrics, and using them to drive decisions.
Familiarity with AI tools and a genuine curiosity about how emerging technology can improve legal work.
A self-directed, outcomes-oriented working style suited to a fixed-term engagement
