Legal Operations Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Administer MISO’s legal technology tools, including support for the legal document management system and participation in new technology selection and implementation.
• Support legal risk identification and mitigation across business operations.
• Manage relationships with external vendors, such as law firms and legal service providers, to ensure quality, cost‑effective legal services.
• Collect, analyze, and present legal operations data to support reporting, decision‑making, and process improvement.
• Coordinate and project‑manage legal matters, ensuring aligned communication, deadline tracking, and cross‑functional engagement.
• Maintain and analyze legal department budgets, including forecasting and identifying cost‑saving

  What We’re Looking For

  BS/BA degree (Legal Studies or related field preferred).

• 2+ years of experience in legal operations, project management, or a related function.
• Strong organizational, project management, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and comfort learning new technologies.
• Experience with legal billing systems, document management tools, and budgeting processes is desirable.
• Strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Interest or foundational understanding of AI technologies and platforms.

  What Success Looks LikeWithin one year, you will independently manage MISO’s corporate controlled document program and legal e‑billing platform, contribute meaningfully to Legal Department initiatives, and build strong cross‑departmental relationships that enhance the effectiveness of our legal operations.

  The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $73,000-$98,000 USD annually. 

• Base salary range for this position is included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, and qualifications/experience.

  Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
