Description

The Los Angeles office of Kaufman Dolowich, a full-service national law firm with more than 250 attorneys across 16 offices and over 25 practice areas, is seeking a Legal Malpractice and Accountants Malpractice Partner to join its growing practice group.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney with a strong background in legal malpractice and accountants malpractice defense to assume a leadership role within a nationally recognized firm. The ideal candidate will bring strategic litigation experience, strong leadership and mentoring skills, and a commitment to exceptional client service. Portable business is welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, grow, and oversee the Legal Malpractice, Accountants Malpractice, and Professional Liability practice
  • Handle complex defense matters through all phases of litigation
  • Develop and maintain relationships with insurers, insured professionals, brokers, and clients
  • Mentor and supervise associates and business professionals
  • Drive business development, marketing, and cross-selling initiatives
  • Collaborate with firm leadership and related practice groups on strategic growth opportunities

Qualifications

  • Admission to the California State Bar required
  • 10+ years of legal malpractice and accountants malpractice defense experience
  • Strong litigation, leadership, client management, and business development skills
  • Experience representing insurers and/or insured professionals preferred
  • Experience representing accounting professionals in state and federal courts, before professional organization committees, and in regulatory proceedings
  • Strong understanding of accounting and auditing documents and financial statements

Base Salary Range: $200,000-$300,000

Please note that the stated salary range is an estimate and does not guarantee a specific offer. Actual compensation will be determined based on market location, as well as the candidate's experience, skills, and job-related qualifications. Base salary is only one component of Kaufman Dolowich's comprehensive Total Rewards package, which also includes a discretionary and billable-hours-based bonus program and a robust benefits offering for full-time employees.
