To learn more about our organization and the important work that we do, please visit us at https://asafeplaceforhelp.org/.Position Summary:Reporting to the Director of Courthouse Services, the Legal Case Manager, serves as a liaison between clients and the courts, State's Attorney's Office, law enforcement, legal aid, and other service providers while maintaining accurate client records and required state reporting. They will be responsible for conducting a needs assessment, developing a plan for orders of protection, and servicing as a liaison between the client and the legal systemWhat We Offer: $45,000-$55,000 annually based on qualifications and experienceMedical insurance including BCBS PPO, HSA and FSA optionsDental and Vision insuranceLife Insurance, AD&D, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability programsEmployee Assistance Program401(k) planGenerous time off including 3 weeks of vacation and 12 sick days2 floating holidays and 1 birthday PTO day8 paid HolidaysResponsibilities:Conduct client intake, eligibility determination, needs assessments, and required documentation using a variety of different systems.Develop individualized safety and service plans and connect clients with appropriate agency and community resources.Assist clients with preparing and filing Orders of Protection and other court documents.Accompany and support clients during court proceedings and explain court procedures, legal terminology, and available resources.Advocate for clients and coordinate with courts, law enforcement, State's Attorney's Office, legal aid, and other legal-system partners.Provide crisis intervention, case management, referrals, and ongoing survivor-centered support.Maintain accurate and timely electronic records, data entry, and statistical reporting.Educate staff, interns, volunteers, law enforcement, court personnel, and the community about domestic violence and survivor needs.Participate in team meetings, training, and agency activities and perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Education & ExperienceFluency in English and Spanish is required.Bachelor's degree in legal studies, social work, counseling, criminal justice, or a related field preferred.
