What will be your responsibilities within IBKR:

Interactive Brokers is seeking an experienced Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) specializing in deceased estate administration to join our team. This critical role requires a seasoned professional with deep expertise in managing the complex processes associated with deceased client accounts, estate settlements, and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Serve as the primary expert resource for deceased estate matters across the organization.
  • Review and validate estate documentation including death certificates, letters of testamentary, probate documents, and executor authorizations.
  • Coordinate the transfer or liquidation of securities, options, futures, and other financial instruments held in deceased accounts.
  • Ensure proper handling of outstanding trades, margin positions, and corporate actions for deceased accounts.
  • Liaise with legal counsel and compliance teams on complex or high-value estate matters.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Law degree, paralegal certification, other relevant qualification or significant demonstratable relevant experience.
  • Experience with international estates and cross-border asset transfers.
  • Knowledge of estate planning strategies and trust structures.
  • Experience working in a global financial institution.

This roles anticipated base salary range is $70,000 to $90,000 annually, based on skills and experience. The offered salary is just part of the total compensation package. In addition to a competitive salary, the company offers both a discretionary cash bonus and stock award, as well as a wide range of benefits, including health care, tuition reimbursement, and much more.
