Legal Billing Specialist
Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA (Onsite)
Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 annually
Our client, an established and highly respected law firm located in Downtown Los Angeles, is looking to hire a Legal Billing Specialist. The Legal Billing Specialist will be responsible for managing the full-cycle billing process, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing in accordance with client guidelines and firm policies. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and prior experience in a law firm environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and process client invoices in a timely and accurate manner
Ensure compliance with client billing guidelines, including e-billing requirements
Submit invoices through electronic billing systems
Review time entries and expenses for accuracy and completeness
Coordinate with attorneys and staff to resolve billing discrepancies
Monitor billing status and follow up on outstanding invoices
Apply payments and assist with accounts receivable tracking
Maintain accurate billing records and documentation
Assist with month-end close procedures related to billing and revenue
Support special projects and process improvements as needed
Qualifications:
3+ years of legal billing experience required
Experience working in a law firm or professional services environment
Strong knowledge of e-billing platforms and client billing guidelines
Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and ability to work cross-functionally with attorneys and staff
Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
