LHH is partnering with a valued client to identify a Legal Billing Clerk to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in building a career in legal administration, billing, accounting, or law firm operations. Responsibilities
Process and scan incoming payments and financial documents
Perform high-volume data entry related to accounts payable and billing functions
Track, research, and reconcile cost and expense entries
Conduct conflict checks and assist with opening new client matters
Maintain and update client and matter information within firm databases
Support the preparation and distribution of monthly prebills
Review and revise billing drafts based on attorney and team feedback
Assist with finalizing and distributing client invoices
Respond to billing and payment-related inquiries
Process and accurately record incoming payments across multiple payment channels.
Prepare daily cash collection reports for management and attorneys
Follow up on outstanding invoices and payment matters
Create, update, and maintain Excel spreadsheets and Word documents
Provide general administrative support to the accounting and billing teams
Qualifications
Strong data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
Ability to follow instructions, manage priorities, and meet deadlines
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with high-volume workloads
Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
Experience with billing, accounting, legal, or financial software is a plus
Professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
