LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Bill Review Analyst to support the Legal Bill Review team within a leading workers' compensation insurance organization. This role is responsible for the accurate review, analysis, adjustment, and processing of legal invoices to ensure compliance with company billing guidelines, cost-containment practices, and timely payment procedures.
The ideal candidate will have experience reviewing legal invoices, legal billing, workers' compensation claims support, or paralegal-related work. Position: Legal Bill Review Analyst
Location: Hybrid - Walnut Creek
Pay Rate: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour (DOE)
Type: Contract
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Review and analyze legal invoices submitted by law firms for workers' compensation claims.
Verify billing compliance with company guidelines, including:
Maximum allowable fees
Billing restrictions
Duplicate charges
Prohibited services
Excessive or unreasonable billings
Identify and apply appropriate billing adjustments when necessary.
Ensure legal invoices are accurately entered and routed through the appropriate e-billing or claims management platforms.
Classify legal services according to claim-related categories, including:
Case in Chief activities
Special Investigation services
Recovery/Subrogation efforts
Maintain accurate billing data and documentation within legal bill review and claims management systems.
Collaborate with internal claims teams, legal vendors, and law firms to resolve billing discrepancies and payment questions.
Monitor invoice workflow to ensure timely processing and payment.
Assist in auditing billing records and maintaining compliance with established company procedures.
Participate in process improvement initiatives focused on legal expense management and operational efficiency.
Research and stay informed on legal billing trends, industry standards, and regulatory developments that impact legal billing practices.
Escalate significant billing concerns, trends, or compliance issues to leadership.
Support special projects, reporting requests, and departmental initiatives as assigned.
