A well-established and highly respected California litigation firm is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join its collaborative business litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both substantive paralegal work and legal assistant responsibilities in a supportive, team-oriented environment with exceptional employee retention.
This hybrid role is approximately 80% paralegal and 20% legal assistant, supporting a busy team of attorneys handling sophisticated litigation matters.
What You'll Do
Prepare and file documents in California state and federal courts
Manage litigation calendars and deadlines
Draft, format, and finalize pleadings, discovery, and correspondence
Create document shells, tables of contents, and tables of authorities
Assist with document production and e-discovery
Prepare for depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial
Coordinate with attorneys, clients, and opposing counsel
Provide administrative and litigation support as needed
Qualifications
Experience supporting litigation attorneys in a law firm environment
Strong knowledge of California and federal court filing procedures
Experience with discovery, trial preparation, deposition preparation, and calendaring
Proficiency in document formatting, document production, and creating tables
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
Team-first mentality and willingness to assist wherever needed
