A well-established boutique litigation law firm in Midtown with expertise in insurance defense and transportation is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to join its growing Atlanta office. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside an experienced team in a collaborative, fast-paced environment while receiving hands-on training from a senior legal assistant transitioning into an operations leadership role. This position primarily supports 2-3 litigation paralegals and plays an important role in keeping complex litigation matters organized and moving efficiently.
Responsibilities
Provide administrative and litigation support to multiple paralegals
Prepare, organize, and maintain electronic and paper case files
Draft, revise, and format legal correspondence and pleadings
Coordinate document production, filings, and case materials
Track, code, and route litigation expenses associated with cases
Manage calendars, deadlines, and scheduling
Coordinate mail, service, and other case-related logistics
Assist with discovery and trial preparation
Prioritize multiple assignments while meeting deadlines
Qualifications
Prior experience as a legal assistant or litigation legal secretary preferred
Insurance defense litigation experience is a plus but not required
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a busy litigation practice
Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through
Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
Strong communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
