Scion Staffing is partnering with a well-established law firm to identify an experienced Estate Planning Legal Assistant to join its collaborative legal team. This is a direct-hire, on-site position in Encino, CA.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional who enjoys client interaction and has experience supporting estate planning and trust administration matters. In this role, you'll work closely with attorneys and paralegals to provide administrative and legal support while helping clients navigate important life planning matters.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and legal support to multiple attorneys.
  • Prepare, revise, and format estate planning documents.
  • Draft legal forms related to probate, trust administration, and guardianships.
  • Assist with legal research and gather information for ongoing matters.
  • Coordinate with courts, clients, and outside counsel as needed.
  • Prepare attorneys for hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings.
  • Manage attorney calendars, meetings, and deadlines.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical client files.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence and provide exceptional client service.
  • Perform additional administrative and legal support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting estate planning and post-death trust administration.
  • Prior experience with probate court filings.
  • Strong document formatting, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, legal databases, and case management software (ProLaw experience is a plus).
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and providing exceptional client service.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $33.00-$43.00 per hour, depending on experience
